Four young artists win recognition in Junior Duck Stamp state contest

On May 9 local Junior Duck Stamp winners and their families were honored with a reception at Graceful Arts Gallery in Alva. Salt Plains Federal Wildlife Refuge Manager Shane Kassan and Refuge Visitor Services Specialist Melissa Robell presented the four winners with awards and gifts.

Libby Keller won the Best of Show and first place in the seventh-ninth grade division of the Oklahoma contest. Her entry, along with other Best of Show winner, will be submitted to the National Junior Duck Stamp Design Contest, where a panel of judges will select one image to become the next Junior Duck Stamp.
