TONY GLENN BEADLES

Tony Glenn Beadles, age 90, passed away on May 16, 2024. He was born July 31, 1933, in Freedom, Oklahoma, to Joseph and Ellen (Applebee) Beadles.

He was predeceased by his wife, Christie (Thilsted), after 63 years of marriage. His son Tony Allen died shortly after Tony passed.

He is survived by Tony Allen's sons, David and Michael. He is also survived by his daughter Debbie, her husband Felix, their children Eric (and spouse Sam) and Kristin (and spouse John). He is also survived by his grandchildren from Eric – Anders, Oliver and Ana – and Kristin's daughter, Mary.

Tony was an intellectual who constantly sought knowledge throughout his whole life, exploring ideas and sharing interesting metaphors and analogies that described his philosophy on life. He was an articulate and interesting person whose personality and ideas made an impact on others. He attended college at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva and graduated with a degree in Natural Sciences. He later earned a master's from Texas A & M. He taught in the computer science department at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma.

He was proud of his service in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War in which he was a ham radio operator. He continued this hobby after his service and enjoyed talking to people from all over the world. He will be laid to rest next to his loving wife, Christie, in Hardtner, Kansas.
