Team of Cherokee students end stock market competition up $120,325

Mrs. Tucker’s sixth- and seventh-grade classes competed in a full year of Stock Market Games, placed second in the state in their division and increased their earnings by more than $20,000, Principal Lane Pruett told the Cherokee Board of Education at its regular monthly meeting Monday evening.

A team comprised of Creed Patterson, Alissa Pfleider, Kendal Collins, Aubree Hughes and Brooke Yandal placed second for the state in the fourth- through eighth-grade division. They ended the game with $120,325.42.
