Just a week ago the Newsgram ran a story with area elevator managers' comments about their projections for the 2024 wheat harvest in this area of northwest Oklahoma and south-central Kansas. Combines whacking wheat and making the dust blow throughout the countryside commenced in the first few days of June. Harvest is all but over in some areas and at least half-finished in most.
