Fly fishing and mountain inspiration

While he liked to draw as a kid in Oklahoma, it was a trip to the mountains that inspired David Padgett to appreciate the natural world. "My first experience in the type of art I do, the subject matter I use is from when I was in the mountains when I was a kid. I'm from Oklahoma, not too many mountains in Oklahoma. But my dad took me out to New Mexico, the Rockies, when I was about 11 years old," he said.
