OSU President visits Kisling's wheat harvest west of Burlington

A rite of passage in Oklahoma – riding on the combine for wheat harvest

An entourage carrying the Oklahoma State University President (OSU) Dr. Kacey Shrum and some of her colleagues buzzed over from Stillwater to Burlington to experience the wind in your hair, the whirl of the 50-foot headers cutting golden waves of grain and a ride inside the cabs that look and sound like a space ship with all the bells and whistles. They visited at the invitation of the Keith and Marlene Kisling family at one of their wheat fields west of Burlington in northwest Oklahoma as harvest was on the downhill side early last week.
