Northwestern Rodeo Coach Cali Griffin describes events planned for the Ranger Rodeo on Oct. 31-Nov. 2 in Alva. The rodeo was granted the same tourism tax amount as last year.
The Alva Tourism Committee heard one funding request and a recap of a recent event during their meeting Wednesday afternoon. Chairman Melinda Barton opened the meeting with members Terri Parsons, Angelica Brady and Sadie Bier present. Alva City Business Manager Stephen Ford also attended.
The financial statement for June 30 showed $150,723.21 in the pooled cash account with investments of $386,543.53. The investments include an account of $154,075.98 set aside for the Alva Arena.
