The book of Proverbs in the Bible has been referred to as the “Book of Wisdom,” as it relays knowledge from the perspective of a father to his son. It portrays wisdom and folly as two competing women, vying for the attention of a young man, a young man who has not lived long enough to gain the wisdom of the wise.
