Your call is important to us

It is so frustrating.

It started with some big corporations, but it has spread until practically no matter who you call, a machine answers. It was bad enough when my insurance company started doing this, but now even my family physician, who I thought was a good friend of mine, has a computer answer his phone, with the assurance that “Your call is important to us.”
