On Monday morning, the Woods County commissioners approved a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the City of Alva that will allow the county to build a new senior citizens building on city-owned land. In his motion, Commissioner Randy McMurphy made a change in the MOU to correct the property address. It was listed correctly as 202 Choctaw in the first part of the document but used the current Barnes Avenue address in another section. The MOU will allow the commissioners to proceed with plans to build the new senior center on the southeast corner of the block where the Old Armory is located....
