There were only two issues in Woods County for the primary runoff election on Tuesday, Aug. 27. Republicans in District No. 2 voted on the county commissioner race. Since only Republicans filed, the winner was determined in the runoff. Shane Vore won with 337 votes, which was 67.94 percent of the total while Clint Harzman had 159.
Vore will take office on Jan. 1, 2025. He will replace Randy McMurphy who decided not to file. Of the 496 votes cast, 13 were absentee by mail, 143 were early voting and 340 were cast on election day.
