Surrounded by his mother, stepfather and closest friends, Matthew Douglas Arndt took his last breath at approximately 1:45 a.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2024, just 17 days shy of his 18th birthday. Matthew bravely fought Ewings Sarcoma, an extremely aggressive pediatric cancer, for 6-and-a-half years till the very end. Matthew had a zest for life that Ewings Sarcoma could not extinguish.
Matthew is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Carl and Marjorie Hansard; paternal great-grandfather, Neal Arndt, his beloved chocolate lab, Lady; and his golden retriever, Shelby.
