Alva Goldbugs edge Perry 21-20

The Alva Goldbugs traveled to Perry last week, Sept. 6, for a non-district game. At first, it looked like a repeat of the previous week's game against Fairview. The Perry Maroons scored touchdowns on their first two possessions of the game. In last year's win at Perry, the Goldbugs didn't have to contend with quarterback Jaxson Cunningham who had to sit out due to a penalty.
