Alva School Board hears about student achievements

On Monday, Superintendent Jeremy Brashears enjoyed reporting to the Alva Board of Education about recent student achievements. He said the high school softball team won the regional tournament in Alva last week. “Our softball girls out-played their opponents 26-0,” he reported. The Ladybugs will play in super regionals this Thursday in Chandler with games at noon and 2 p.m.

“Football improved their record to 4-1,” said Brashears. “After their win against Hennessey Thursday, they are currently tied, a three way tie, for first in district.” He said three teams have district records of 2-0.
