Goldbugs beat district foe Hennessey 28-14

Several exciting plays helped the Alva Goldbugs double the Hennessey Eagles in a home game last week, 28-14. Tripp Cole had a Pick 6 to start off the scoring. Lantz Mathers accounted for two of the four Alva touchdowns, first on a seven-yard run and later on an electrifying 99-yard race down the field. Hunter Pfleider went for a 23-yard TD to complete the Alva win. With an offensive line composed wholly of freshmen and sophomores, Hennessey was still able to score twice.
