The three teams at the top of the rankings in Alva's district are Stroud, Luther and Alva. Last week, the Goldbugs traveled to Stroud where a seasoned Tiger team dominated, defeating Alva 52-14.
First Half
The Tigers put two touchdowns on the scoreboard in the first few minutes of the game. Quarterback Dylan Baker passed the ball to Kason Presley for a six-yard TD followed by an extra point kick. A picked-off Goldbug pass set up Jordan Lindsey for a pick-6 score. This time the kick was missed and Stroud led 13-0 with a little over six minutes left in the quarter.
