Tornadoes volleyball enters tournament 1st in league

The South Barber Junior High Tornadoes volleyball team is on a roll. The Head Coach Janet Cook said the team is 14-2 and headed into the Heart of the Plains League (HOPL) tournament as first in the league.

"We've been No. 2 several times, but never on top going into the tournament," she said.

Cook said the league plays two round robins with five teams. "Two in each pool advance to what we call 'the final four.'"

"I couldn't be more proud of these young ladies," Cook said. "They are a fun bunch to coach. This team is short with tons of quickness."
