Cherokee school board: Targa protest to be settled this week

The Cherokee Board of Education, at its regular monthly meeting Monday night, learned that the Targa protest will soon be settled.

“I got word today that the Targa protest that is being settled this week,” said Superintendent Bryce Schanbacher. The settlement will cover the years 2021, 2022 and 2023. “So that money in escrow – we don’t have exact numbers there, but somewhere around $200,000 should be paid out in December.” That will be dispersed to the various funds as is required, he said. “So that was some good news today.”
