OKLAHOMA CITY – Last weekend, Alva High School sophomore Kayla Leeper received the Jasmine and Melvin Moran Kidizenship Award at the 2024 Child Advocacy Champions Awards Luncheon and Donor Appreciation Event sponsored by the Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy (OICA). The award showcases excellence in youth philanthropy.
Leeper was recognized for Kayla's Kindness Project which she started in 2018 when she was nine years old. She provides extra kindness for people, young and old, in a hospital setting in the form of care bags and little bears for comfort.
