Alva is going all out this year to celebrate Christmas. The City of Alva has hung lights across the streets around the downtown square. The courthouse in the middle of the square is festooned with lights. The Alva Chamber of Commerce volunteers have labored many days putting up various displays, some lighted and some painted.
This weekend, Friday through Sunday, a series of events has been planned for family fun and enjoyment in Alva.
