Bids for Alva, Waynoka senior citizen projects are over budget

• Architect will look at ways to cut costs

After opening bids Monday morning, the Woods County Commissioners are facing a mismatch between what they can spend on senior citizen projects and the lowest bids received. Chairman Randy McMurphy opened the meeting with Commissioners David Hamil and John Smiley present. County Clerk Shelley Reed was also in attendance. It was standing room only in the commissioners' office with numerous representatives of construction firms present.
