Swimming pool project on track for May opening

The May 2025 opening of the new swimming pool in Alva is on track except for one thing. The bath house which has been untouched to preserve its history is the problem. The city is working with the land and water commission in expectation of a $500,000 grant. At the Alva Parks and Recreation Board meeting Wednesday, City Business Manager Stephen Ford said because federal money is involved, all communication on the grant has to go through tourism.
