Davin Budy, of Cherokee FFA, took first place, FFA Champion and overall Grand Champion in the 2024 Oklahoma 4-H/FFA Junior Wheat Show showing his Doublestop CL Plus wheat variety. Budy also placed seventh in production and milling, and third in baking, earning him top awards. Budy placed 25th overall, 25th in milling and production, and 23rd in baking with his OK Corral variety. Budy is the son of Chad and Danielle Budy of Cherokee.
Budy received $3,000 in scholarship money for his accomplishments with his Doublestop CL Plus variety. He also received a $750 premium from Oklahoma Genetics Inc....
