Woods County Commissioners approve reduced bids for senior citizen projects

The lowest bidders on the senior citizen projects for Woods County spent the last couple of weeks working on ways to pare down costs. Architect Roy Easley brought the results to the Woods County Commissioners on Monday. The goal was to get the costs under $1.3 million. Proposed changes put the bid totals at just over $1.4 million.

"That's going to leave us about $350,000 short," said Commissioner David Hamil. Despite the shortfall, Hamil still wanted to move ahead with the project. Commissioners John Smiley and Randy McMurphy agreed.
