Last week, a Jet man received minor injuries in a fatal collision in Garfield County. The wreck occurred on Friday, Dec. 20, at 7:14 p.m. on OK-132 and OK-45 approximately one mile south of Carrier.
According to the highway patrol report, Jose M. Vazquez, 53, of Carrier, was driving a 2015 Nissan Versa southbound on OK-132. He failed to yield to oncoming traffic and turned in front of a 2014 Ford Edge driven by Landon D. Carter-Garza, 19, of Jet.
Vazquez was transported by Air Evac and pronounced deceased at OU Trauma Hospital. Carter-Garza was taken by personal vehicle to St. Mary’s Hospital...
