Targa settlement roughly 35% of total protest amount to Burlington School

At the Dec. 13 Burlington Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Gerrett Spears said the Targa Resources Oil and Gas in Oklahoma City reached their settlement. “The total amount we will receive is in the range of $740,000. That is roughly 35% of the total amount in protest,” Spears said.

That amount received was roughly just 35 percent of the amount that was originally stated to the Burlington School from the assessor’s office due to an administrative error.
