ALVA – Northwestern Oklahoma State Lady Rangers finished 1-1 this past week with an overtime loss to Southeastern Oklahoma State and a dominating win over East Central 59-38. Payton Jones for Northwestern earned Great American Conference Defensive Player of the Week for Dec. 16-22.
Jones helped lead the Rangers defensively as she finished the week with eight steals, a block and 13 rebounds including 10 defensive rebounds between the two games
In the Southeastern game Jones finished with four steals and two rebounds in the game while adding 20 points in the loss.
