Admiration for former president Jimmy Carter

News broke late Sunday afternoon that former president Jimmy Carter had passed away at the age of 100.

Politics and policy aside, I admired the heck out of that man. I made my first political statement about Jimmy Carter. When I told dad that I liked Jimmy Carter better than Ronald Reagan, he asked why. I told him because I liked peanuts better than jelly beans! I mean, I was 7 years old but it is better logic than some people used in the last election.
