State-ranked Schurter invited 'down under' for Coast2Coast International Track and Field Meet

It's no surprise that South Barber junior Lily Schurter is invited to compete in the Coast2Coast International Track and Field Meet in Australia July 5-16. She made it to the Kansas state track meet her freshman and sophomore years. At the state level she's currently ranked 3rd in discus and 10th in shot put. Her best throws are 120'8" for discus and 38'5.5" for shot put.

The daughter of Kiowa couple Zeb and Anna Schurter, Lily gets to experience Australian culture and represent the USA in a track meet. She'll compete against athletes on the five to 15 other teams expected to attend. The lette...
