Although the Alva Ladybugs won two of their three games in the tournament at Mustang over the holiday break, they lost one of their starters to an injury. Channing Ferguson is out for the rest of the season with an ACL injury.
Friday night, Jan. 3, the Ladybugs returned home to take on the Blackwell Lady Maroons. In their last meeting at Blackwell, the Ladybugs had no problem winning and Friday's game was much the same. A highlight of the night was the chance that senior Jaycee Kelln might reach the 1,000 career point mark.
