Wichita State offers degree for game designers, filmmakers

 


WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Wichita State University is offering a new degree for aspiring filmmakers, videogame designers and sound engineers.

The Kansas Board of Regents last week approved the bachelor of applied arts in media arts degree, The Wichita Eagle (http://bit.ly/2sscHaQ ) reports. To make the degree possible, the college will take over production studios that were part of a media arts program overseen by Bethany College. The facility, called Mindfire Academy, will be renamed Shocker Studio.
