Eclipse Day at Burlington

Seventh graders use special glasses to view the eclipse.

Burlington celebrated the solar eclipse on Monday, Aug. 21, from 12 p.m.to 2.p.m. The eighth-grade class prepared a demonstration that they showed to the pre-K through sixth-grade classes. They discussed the reason why they need to wear solar glasses and what happens during the solar eclipse.

During the eclipse each class in the seventh through 12th grade had the opportunity to view the eclipse with special glasses. They had cookies that look like the eclipse that were made by Alva's Market. It was a fun day for Burlington. Thank you to science teacher Mrs. Newlin, and to Mrs. Elliott for all...
