Alva man charged with domestic abuse

An Alva man has been charged in an attack on his ex-girlfriend. On Oct. 17 a charge of domestic abuse – prior pattern of physical abuse, a felony, was filed against Heath Ray Tomberlin, 28, of Alva. This crime is punishable by imprisonment up to ten years or a fine of up to $5,000, or both. He has posted an appearance bond, and his next court appearance is Nov. 14.

According to court documents, on Sept. 14 about 9:45 a.m. Alva Police Officer Sean Farris was dispatched to an Alva address where he met with Teresa Altobella. She told him her ex-boyfriend, Tomberlin, had come to her home the night...
