Chocolate Fantasy at the Alva Public Library

The Thursday Chocolate Fantasy Auction was a big success with four Alva area auctioneers donating their time to work togther for the 20th annual fundraising event. From left: Steve Sterling, Charles Murrow, Dean Goll and Max McDermott.

Karen Koehn helped chair the 20th Chocolate Fantasy fundraising event for the Alva Public Library.

Koehn said, "Every year I am wowed – first, by the number of people who volunteer to make things; second, by the people who come to buy things; and third, by all the auctioneers who come and donate their time to make it a fun and successful event."

The library uses the money raised to buy "above and beyond" things that are not included in the regular budget. It might be little kids' chairs or a new set of audio books.
