Christmas is Coming – Wreaths line downtown streets as the Alva Chamber of Commerce prepares for the holiday season. Next Saturday, Dec. 1, is the Christmas Retail Open House beginning at 10 a.m. At 5 p.m. there will be a parade on the downtown square followed by the Grand Tree Lighting. Santa Claus will be in the Pocket Park to visit with children.
