AHS students 'Glow' at third annual event

September 9, 2016

Saturday, Aug. 27, the Woods County Coalition and the Alva Middle and High School H2O (Health2Others) groups held their annual Glow Run. The Glow Run is a 5K race and 1-mile fun run that is held at the Woods County Fairgrounds. This is the third year the Glow Run has been done. Every year it has gotten bigger and bigger. When asked about how many people attended the Glow Run this year, H2O High School Secretary Hannah Kornele said “We had an awesome turn out this year, about 55-60 people participated in the 5K and 1 mile run. People of all ages came out and took part in the race.”

Boss Music provided music for the event and after the race was finished the members of H2O and the runners danced while the awards for the race were being announced.
