ECU fell behind early in set one, trailing 2-5. The Tigers fought back within one (4-5), but saw the Bulldogs (4-10, 2-2 GAC) push back out to a 10-15 lead and never look back on their way to the 17-25 win.

The teams remained close, within one or two points, until a late 5-0 run by the Bulldogs gave them then needed push to claim the 17-25 win.
