Have you ever gone to a wedding and saw the bride coming down the aisle and you wanted to stop the processional because you knew the groom was marrying the wrong bride? You never have seen the lady before. You know what happened; you have seen it a million times. The young lady went through a total transformation – soul and body – because of her love for the groom.

Let me tell you why I love missions. I see a total “transformation” of the world as the missionaries come and share their work. Time after time we see God making a radiant makeover or transformation in different places around the world. We have seen that many times this past week.

The poet said it well, “It is no secret what God can do. What He has done for others, He will do for you.” So true. God is working around the world but He wants to work here in Alva and He wants to work in your life.

Luke 4:18 tells about the great makeover Christ is bringing and He wants to do it in your life and mine: “He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed.” Christ does the impossible in your life.

As we reflect this past week, we know one truth: that God is working in an amazing way with a “makeover”" We also know that God wants to do amazing work here starting with you so the world stands amazed at what God is doing in your life. They will say to their friends about you, “Come and see the amazing 'makeover.' God is doing a powerful transformation in his (or her) life.”
