Embezzlement charge filed against Alva man

An Alva man has been charged with embezzlement after his employer reported an unauthorized purchase charged to his account.

According to court records, on Oct. 5 Donald Zahorsky called the Woods County Sheriff’s Office to report embezzlement by a part-time employee identified as Matthew Baker. Zahorsky said he received an invoice from Western Equipment showing the purchase of a black Go Light spot lamp, which is typically mounted to a vehicle.
