Reddies to Face Southeast Missouri in Exhibition Affair

Henderson State returns to the court on Thursday as the Reddies travel to Cape Girardeau, Mo. to face Southeast Missouri State in an exhibition contest with tipoff set for 5 p.m.

The Reddies are 7-2 this season and are averaging 86.4 points per game.

Four Reddies are averaging double-figures led by Kaylon Tappin who is 16.7 points per game while grabbing 3.7 rebounds.

Chris Hawkins has averaged 13.7 points and 6.7 boards per contest. Hawkins has scored 20 or more points in three of the last four games.

Toney Foster has hit 13-of-24 shots from 3-point range and averages 10.8 points per game.

Kevin Kozan, Henderson's newest member to the 1,000 point club averages 10.6 points while shooting 45 percent from beyond the arc.

SEMO leads the all-time series with a 3-2 advantage. The two teams last met in 1985 with SEMO winning 96-50.

Southeast Missouri enters the contest with a 4-10 record after playing four straight road games prior to the Christmas holiday.


SEMO is looking to snap a season-long seven-game losing streak.

Antonius Cleveland has been the top performer as of late for the Redhawks. Cleveland has scored over 20 points in three of his last four starts averaging 22.3 per game in those contests. He raised his scoring average from 16.1 to 17.9 points during that stretch. Cleveland scored 20 or more points a total of six times thus far.
