Alva area citizens shocked by death of Helen Barrett

A photo session with her hot looking convertible was my Christmas present to Helen Barrett this year. Helen profuseily thanked Bob Baker for letting us use his jet as a background image. This was one of a series that was taken about the last day of November 2016, about one day before she drove to Florida.
Early Friday afternoon, the newspaper received an inquiry from a Norman resident asking if it was true Helen Barrett had died. We were shocked at the question as Helen had been sending images of her latest adventure in Florida: a cruise near the Bahamas. Also, she had been writing articles for the newspaper while on vacation ... the latest covering the NWOSU December 2016 graduation (by viewing our video of the event).
