Women's Tennis Up to No. 41 Nationally

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern's women's tennis team leapt up six spots to No. 41 in the most recent Oracle/ITA Division II Collegiate Tennis rankings released this week.

The Savage Storm are 8-2 on the season and just picked up its first Great American Conference victory of the season to open league play 1-0.

Among the polls regional rankings SE is fifth, with Southwest Baptist leading, folloed by Oklahoma Baptist, Northeastern State and Augustana.

The Storm's two losses have come against teams ranked No. 12 and No. 20.

While the Storm does not feature a nationally ranked singles or doubles player, regionally that mark improves.

Among singles players in the Central region Alexsandra Reljic has climbed to No. 9, while Anna Buiukian has lifted herself to No. 13.

In doubles play the duo of Reljic and Darija Catipovic check at at No. 4 in the Central region.
