When you walk into the Community Bank of Alva and look to the left, it is not Terry Ross in the glassed-in office. The person occupying the president's position is Jay Randels. Ross is retiring after being the only president the at the bank since it opened.

Randels grew up in Sharon, Kansas, and graduated from Medicine Lodge High School. He then obtained his bachelors in business administration at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in 1993. He is a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of banking at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
