MONTICELLO — The University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team split the day against Great American Conference foe Arkansas Tech Friday afternoon at Weevils Field with a game one loss at 2-0, and a game two victory at 3-1.

The opening contest for Arkansas-Monticello (24-13, 19-7 GAC) against ATU (26-15, 20-6 GAC) featured the Wonder Boys on the board first in the top of the third inning after scoring on a wild pitch. Tech later extended its lead in the top of the fifth with an RBI single to put the scoring line at 2-0 over the Weevils.
