The members of the Alva Area Authority met on Tuesday and elected officers. With the death of chairman Jim Holder, who was a representative of Share Trust, Darrel Kline was appointed the Share Trust representative. This board member change required an election of officers.

Greg Glass was elected chairman, Mike Hood vice-chairman, Janet Cunningham secretary and Todd Holder treasurer. The last two previously held those positions.

The board then went into executive session to discuss the financing and design of the arena project. They spent over an hour in private, and then returned to open session with nothing to report.

Todd Holder, treasurer, reported that $3,780 had been paid to Priefert Complex Design, an architectural firm. The remaining funds on hand total $123,173.61l.

The agenda called for reports from the design committee, the management/operations committee, the location committee and the funding committee. None of those committees had a report to give.
