Tuesday, May 9, 2017

1:01 a.m. Reporting party (RP) advised of a blue vehicle full of people 3 miles east on Crystal Dig Road. RP thought it might need to be checked out. Advised deputy. Deputy en route. Deputy made contact. Advised he would be at the location for a while, until someone arrived to pick up the vehicle, since the individuals had no driver’s license. Deputy advised the vehicle had been turned over to a licensed driver.

3:11 a.m. Deputy had a traffic stop on Highway 8.

3:18 p.m. RP advised someone had taken the padlocks off the doors to the bunk house and was living there. She was supposed to be moving into the bunk house with her family and noticed the locks were gone and bedding and clothes in one of the rooms. She was concerned for the safety of her family. Advised she was going to stay in the main house and wanted to talk to a deputy about what could be done. Advised deputy and he talked to the RP.


4:20 p.m. Controlled burn on Jefferson.

5:09 p.m. Officer had a traffic stop.

6:26 p.m. RP advised there had been a person driving around in Aline on a black four-wheeler earlier. The person was no longer in the area. Advised deputy.

6:56 p.m. Controlled burn 1 ½ miles off junction of highways 11 and 38.

11:21 p.m. RP wanted to talk to an officer about a suspicious person who had been walking by RP's house several times. Advised deputy and texted RP's contact number to him. Deputy advised everything was okay.

12:04 a.m. Deputy had a traffic stop at County Road 640 and Highway 64.


5:15 a.m. RP advised he hit a deer approximately 3 miles west of Dacoma on Craig Road between county roads 460 and 470.

12:49 p.m. RP advised of an accident with a school bus but she drove back to her house. RP stated a person in a black pickup backed into her vehicle and left the scene. RP wanted an officer. Officer advised and en route.

3:58 p.m. RP advised of a rollover accident west of Carmen. Advised she saw a guy get out and look in the back seat but she kept driving. A second 911 call came in about the same accident and advised there were three people and they were all hurt. Paged Carmen Rescue and Cherokee ambulance. Medic with patient en route to Share Medical Center.

5:25 p.m. Deputy advised of water on the roadway. Advised ODOT.

6:17 p.m. Deputy had a traffic stop at the four-way stop north of Cherokee.

1:31 a.m. RP advised his son had hit a deer at the junction of highways 8 and 45 at Carmen. The deer was dead in the ditch and he was able to drive his vehicle home and will contact the game warden in the morning.

8:49 a.m. Timberlake School called to report a vehicle had been on their campus that Garfield County had been looking for. Deputy out looking for possible stolen car out of Enid.

10:36 a.m. Garfield County wanting to know if they had located a Trailblazer. Garfield County advised they received a call for Timberlake School about a Trailblazer they believe they were looking for in Garfield County. Called deputy and he advised Timberlake saw the vehicle Tuesday on the road around Jet and was unable to locate vehicle, advised Garfield.


11:04 a.m. Deputy had one subject in custody.

11:48 a.m. Livestock out at County Road 640 and Ellis.

4:45 p.m. 911 call, a lightening strike caused a tank battery to explode and catch fire. Fire departments from Cherokee, Jet, Dacoma were all paged. Alfalfa Electric Cooperative was contacted to shut down the powerlines.

4:55 p.m. RP wanted to talk to an officer. He had gotten into a fight with a person. Advised there were no officers available at the time and asked where the fight took place. Officer tried to contact the RP and got no answer. Officer in the RP's area. Advised the person had visible injuries but didn't want to talk to an officer or file a report.


5:32 p.m. Served civil papers.

5:50 p.m. Served civil papers.

6:03 p.m. 911 call, 78-yearold male possibly having a stroke. Paged medic. Nescatunga first responders en route. Medic with patient en route to St. Mary's Hospital in Enid.

7:27 p.m. Served civil papers.

8:10 p.m. Served civil papers.

11:31 p.m. Grant County advised an individual was en route from Cleo Springs to Wakita on a black Suziki Intruder around 7:30 p.m. and had not arrived home. Advised deputy and OHP. Deputy located subject and everything was okay.

9:02 a.m. RP advised of a cow out north of the four-way on the east side of the road. Advised owner.

10:50 a.m. RP advised he was at the house and was mowing for the mayor and the front door was open. RP advised the house was empty. RP wanted an officer to come look because he doesn't want to be accused of anything. Advised officer.


1:51 p.m. RP advised of a cow out south of Cozy Curve. Called several owners and unable to locate.

2:02 p.m. Deputy had one subject in custody.

2:42 p.m. Controlled burn end of Main Street in Goltry.

7:45 p.m. RP wanted an officer because her car had been broken into. Advised officer.

8:43 p.m. RP wanted to make a report that while at graduation his house and car had been broken into. Advised officer.

10:28 p.m. RP advised cattle out in the middle of the roadway. Attempted to locate owner. Unable to locate cattle.

11:21 p.m. Deputy had a traffic stop 2 ½ miles south of Cherokee on Highway 8.

12:19 a.m. Deputy out with an abandoned vehicle 1 ½ miles south of the railroad tracks on Highway 8.

7:37 a.m. ADT Security advised there was an alarm going off in the 1000 block of Pennsylvania for breaking and entering. Officer advised and en route.

8:48 a.m. Controlled burn 2 miles south of junction of highways 58 and 64.

10:02 a.m. Controlled burn 3 miles west on Fifth Street.

11:28 a.m. Controlled burn 1 mile west and one-quarter mile south of Jet.

12:03 p.m. Controlled burn on south Sixth Street in Jet.

1:53 p.m. Controlled burn Highway 8 Jefferson Road 1 mile east.

4:24 p.m. Officer had a traffic stop at Highway 38.

5:27 p.m. RP called to report she had no water pressure but she could hear running water outside like there was a leak. Advised the city.

5:59 p.m. Officer had a traffic stop.

8:05 p.m. RP advised she needed to talk to the sheriff and only would talk to the sheriff. Advised the sheriff. Sheriff sent the undersheriff and deputies. Deputy advised the subject was okay.

9:04 p.m. RP needed a welfare check. Deputy en route. Deputy had one person with him en route to St. Mary's Hospital in Enid.

10:09 p.m. RP reported a suspicious van with the windows broken out and covered in plastic sitting on the side of the road with headlights out. Then followed a worker from the field and turned north off Coal Road and about 2 miles from Highway 58. Advised deputy. Deputy didn't locate the vehicle.

10:23 p.m. Officer had a traffic stop at 12th Street and Ohio.

12:51 a.m. RP advised she had hit a deer on Highway 58 between Cleveland and Choctaw. RP advised she was able to drive her vehicle home and wanted to report it for insurance purposes.

1:42 a.m. RP reported someone trying to get into her car that was under the carport. Advised officer. Officer advised everything was okay.

4:09 a.m. RP advised of alarm going off. Keyholder was advised and said to disregard.

9:49 a.m. Officer had a traffic stop on Highway 38.

11:14 a.m. Controlled burn on County Road 620 and Coal Road.

12:02 p.m. RP advised they needed an ambulance to County Road 650 and Aline Road.

12:22 p.m. OHP advised Enid Police Department was in pursuit of a dark-colored pickup and they were on County Road 750. Also advised OHP was en route. Notified deputy of the chase. The district attorney investigator notified Enid Police Department advised there has been shots fired. Also Enid Police advised the person had shot himself. OHP asked for a mediflight.

1:06 p.m. RP advised of a calf out near the airport. Left message for possible owner.

4:49 p.m. RP advised a person was playing their music very loud and it's mainly the bass. It's Mother's Day and he shouldn't be playing that loud. Advised officer. Advised owner of the complaint.

4:59 p.m. Controlled burn on County Road Dewey and County Road 550

5:17 p.m. Deputy had a traffic stop on Highway 8.

6:42 p.m. Controlled burn at junction of highways 8 and 8B.

7:26 p.m. RP wanted to speak to an officer about a dispute. Officer notified. Civil matter.

8:59 p.m. Woods County called about a call they received. Apparently between the hours of 5 and 6:30 a witness saw three children in a car with a grandmother and said the children were going into the store unescorted. They also stated they witnessed the grandmother backhand one of the boys. Woods County attempted to make contact with the vehicle but did not find it. The witness later saw the vehicle and followed it back to Burlington area and called the tag and address back in to Woods County. Woods County asked if one of Alfalfa County Sherrif's Office deputies could make contact with the grandmother and do a welfare check on the children. Notified deputy. Deputy made contact and stated yes they had been there at the time and the children were a bit unruly because they were wanting something in another part of the store but the children never left her sight. She said she left the store and returned home without incident. All the children were fine and asleep at the time.

9:28 p.m. RP advised of two trucks sitting in the parking lot out by United and was shining their lights into an office window out there and the RP was a little uneasy because of the time of night and location. Asked for an officer to check it out. Advised officer of the situation. Officer made contact with the truck owners.

9:49 p.m. Helena officer was needed for assistance on a situation in Helena involving a belligerent individual making threats against another individual at a house. Officer called to inquire about deputy and gave his location.
