The Alva Board of Education voted to approve hiring three teachers for the next school year. Kyle Price has been hired as the new Alva High School band director; Beki Houston has been hired as a counselor; Crystal Murrow will work as high school sophomore English teacher. Shane Feely will work the final days of the current fiscal year and will receive prorated pay for that month. He was previously employed for next school year as Washington principal and AHS boys basketball coach.
