TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A $4.5 billion wind farm and transmission line project is awaiting Oklahoma regulators' approval to fully qualify for federal tax credits for renewable energy.

The Oklahoman reports that Public Service Co. of Oklahoma and a sister utility announced the Wind Catcher project to be located in the Oklahoma Panhandle last week.

The Tulsa-based electric utility company is seeking pre-approval to recover its share of the costs from the project, which is expected to go in service by 2020.
