RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Arkansas Tech's Peerada Piddon has been named the Great American Conference Women's Golfer of the Week after the opening tournament of the fall season.

In her first tournament as a Golden Sun, Piddon placed second at the Central Region Fall Preview in Olathe, Kan., leading Tech to a fifth-place finish. She opened the tournament with an even-par 72 on Tuesday to tie for fourth after the first round. Piddon followed with a one-over 73 on Wednesday which moved her up to second place.
