Rangers victorious over Henderson State 36-30

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Northwestern Rangers posted their first win of the football season against the Henderson State Reddies 36-30 Saturday on HSU’s home turf. It was the first time the Rangers bested the Reddies since 2002.

Both teams remained scoreless in the first quarter, but HSU pulled ahead in the second by 13-7. Northwestern answered with two touchdowns in the third while the Reddies posted one. The Rangers had a one point lead going into the final period 21-20.

With about 12 minutes left, Reddies quarterback Andrew Black lunged in for the TD. The extra point was good, and HSU regaine...
